Job Description Summary

The Lead Finance Specialist 2 - Accounting Operations will play a critical role in supporting the billing and accounting operations for GE Aerospace's Edison Works division, which is part of the Defense sector. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and enterprise standards to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. The role is remote with occasional travel to the office for specific business needs.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Manage billing processes for the Edison Works division within the Defense sector.

Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and enterprise standards.

Utilize technical expertise and analytical thinking to identify and resolve accounting and financial process issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure operational excellence.

Contribute to projects, processes, and procedures within the accounting operations field.

Operate with autonomy while adhering to standard functional practices and procedures,

Communicate effectively with direct colleagues and business partners regarding financial processes and services rendered.

Build strong relationships across teams and provide insights to support decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance and Accounting Operations.

This role requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.

Work Environment

• Remote Work : This role is primarily remote but requires occasional trips to the office for specific business needs, typically a few times per month.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
