The Buyer / Planner is responsible for overseeing the procurement process of direct materials needed by the site. The work includes executing daily procurement tasks in our ERP system maintaining effective supplier communication and coordination for the delivery of materials and developing effective purchasing strategies that align with our business objectives. Additionally this buyer is expected to assist in the planning and execution of site initiatives involving supplier changes exits and startups. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers in procurement and supply chain management.

What You Will Do

• Perform MRP analysis and execution to support program goals during the drawdown of actuation work centers for duration of on-site support
• Responsible for all associated parts and assigned MRP messages including but not limited to buy expedite defer and cancel.
• Report on and troubleshoot MRP system generated exceptions; and take corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary
• Monitoring supplier performance and identifying / mitigating gaps in production support escalating to management when appropriate
• Collaborate with design planning and engineering teams to develop last-time buy (LTB) strategies.
• Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on change management
• Implement Lean manufacturing measures to ensure value streams and shop operations are balanced at all times and / or to be able to identify areas of opportunity
• Communicate to peers and management the requirements that support processes to ensure smooth production flow

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
