Medical Malpractice Underwriter

A company is looking for an Underwriter to manage an assigned book of business, focusing on risk analysis and account servicing.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain an assigned book of business while achieving growth and retention targets

Evaluate new business submissions, renewals, and policy changes in accordance with underwriting guidelines

Develop and maintain positive relationships with agents / brokers and respond to inquiries within service standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred

Four or more years of underwriting experience

Medical malpractice underwriting or healthcare background preferred

Progress towards INS, RPLU, or CPCU designation is preferred

Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents
