Audit Director - Crypto / Blockchain (Remote or Hybrid)

A leading national accounting and advisory firm is expanding its Digital Asset Assurance practice and seeking an Audit Director to shape and execute the technical direction of its blockchain audit strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of blockchain technology, financial assurance, and data analytics—and who wants to help define how audit evolves in the digital asset space.

$160,000-190,000 base salary.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical infrastructure of blockchain assurance engagements

Translate complex blockchain data into audit-ready testing procedures

Collaborate with assurance teams, engineers, and external data providers

Develop tools, templates, and guidance for emerging blockchain protocols

Drive innovation in areas like proof-of-reserve, validator verification, and smart contract testing

Qualifications

8-10+ years' experience in blockchain, assurance, or risk

Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and tokenomics

Hands-on experience with blockchain data tools, APIs, and explorers

Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills

SQL experience required; Python or Solidity a plus

CPA not required if strong audit and accounting knowledge demonstrated
