Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding an MSN or doctoral degree (DNP, Ed.D. or PhD) in nursing with a strong background in clinical nursing. This position is focused on teaching didactic and clinical courses in the BSN program. This is a full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE non-tenure track faculty position. We are particularly interested in faculty with clinical expertise in adult medical-surgical, mental health, and family health nursing.

This position is located in Gainesville, FL or Jacksonville, FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position.


Key Responsibilities:

Teaching

• Teach didactic and clinical courses in the undergraduate programs
• Collaborate with faculty teaching teams to ensure excellence in course delivery
• Maintain clinical expertise, including credentials appropriate to specialty and teaching responsibilities
• Engage in professional development to enhance teaching
• Participate in curriculum development to enhance BSN program and maintain excellent student outcomes

Scholarship

• Collaborate in scholarship related to clinical expertise or nursing education

Service

• Provide professional service to college, university and profession commensurate with rank

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Clinical Lecturer requires a master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution

Clinical Assistant Professor requires a DNP, EdD, or PhD in nursing from an accredited institution

Recent clinical experience

RN or APRN license. Florida licensure expected by date of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience
• Evidence of professional contributions to the nursing profession.
• Specialty certification for Clinical Assistant Professor rank

Special Instructions to Applicants:
