Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Location : Middle River, MD

Schedule : 3 days per week

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of invoices in a fast-paced environment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

• Verify approvals on all invoices and check requests
• Code incoming invoices and complete 3-point matching on purchase order invoices
• Prepare and process checks
• Update and maintain vendor database
• Process and enter 100-200 invoices per week
• Convert vendors to ACH payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Process and follow up on rush items
• Maintain accounts payable files through scanning and digital storage
• Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Utilize MS Word, Excel, and (ideally) e-Automate software
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
