Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $3,143 per week in Burlingame, CA

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 4 years of experience required. License : Valid Registered Nurse licensure required. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have : - Ability to float to all inpatient units including ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with Epic charting system required. - Familiarity with managing various critical care procedures and equipment. Description : The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. This role requires floating to multiple units, including ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. The nurse will manage complex patient needs, including post-surgical care and acute medical conditions. Patient ratios will be 2 : 1 during nights and weekends. Daily census ranges from 16 to 20 patients, with a bed capacity of 24. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various healthcare professionals. This position supports a collaborative care model and requires proficiency in critical care techniques. Nurses will utilize advanced equipment for monitoring and managing patient conditions. Regular communication with healthcare teams is essential for patient safety and care continuity. The role includes managing ventilated patients and those on ECMO, among other critical interventions.
