Operator I – Assembly
Location : Pleasanton, CA 94588
Duration : 6+ Months
Shift : Mon–Fri, 5 : 00 AM – 1 : 30 PM
Pay : $21.50 / hr. on w2
Job Summary
Responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Work includes assembly, repair, and testing of pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related assemblies under close supervision. Tasks are routine and follow standardized procedures with continual review.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations for medical devices.
- Follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date job documentation and ensure accurate traveler / quality records.
- Communicate clearly with manufacturing management (written and verbal).
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required protective equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives (Lean Manufacturing).
- Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Prioritize work effectively based on job sequencing and importance.
- Handle and maneuver small components carefully.
- Make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.Ability to use electronic data collection systems and computer software.Strong attention to detail and judgment skills.Dress Code Requirements (Interview & On-the-Job)
Clothing Guidelines :
Must be non-shedding , free of frayed hems , loose threads, glitter, sequins, tassels, or fringes.Must pass fabric test (no fibers dislodging when pulled).Sweaters, fleece, loose-knit clothing not allowed .Clothing from the waist up must fit under lab coat / gown.No turtlenecks / high necks protruding from lab coat.Sleeves must not extend beyond lab coat cuffs.Headwear :
Caps, hats, scarves, bandanas not allowed under bouffant.Cultural head wraps must be tightly woven, clean, and fully covered by bouffant and lab coat.Footwear :
Shoes must be worn at all times with socks / stockings.No sandals, clogs, slippers, open-toe, open-heel, or shoes with visible toe openings.Heel must not exceed 2 inches.No changing shoes in production areas (except gowning room).Clothing Coverage :
Torso, upper arms, and legs must be covered.No pants / skirts above the ankle, slits, short tops, or sleeveless shirts.Ankle-length skirts allowed only with full-length leggings, pants, or stockings underneath.Personal Appearance :
No nail polish, acrylic nails, or artificial nail coatings.No makeup; only unscented deodorant allowed.Stick-form lip balm allowed (apply outside production and before washing hands).No lotions after handwashing.Jewelry / piercings must not pierce gloves and must be coverable.Other :
