Territory Business Development Executive, Staffing Services

Launch a purpose-driven sales career serving the New River Valley and Roanoke Valley communities with Express Employment Professionals. If you’re energized by building relationships, consulting with local businesses, and seeing your work fuel community growth, this role puts you at the center of it all.

A day in the life

You start your morning mapping out visits to small and mid-sized companies across Roanoke, the New River Valley, and neighboring markets. With a company car at the ready, you meet decision-makers, ask smart questions, and uncover how our workforce solutions can help them thrive. Midday, you host client meetings to scope needs, evaluate opportunities, and identify where upsell and cross-sell can bring extra value. In the afternoon, you collaborate with our internal team to ensure every new client has a seamless onboarding experience. Your day ends by updating your CRM, reviewing the pipeline, and planning tomorrow’s route.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and deepen relationships with small to mid-sized businesses throughout Roanoke, the New River Valley, and surrounding areas
  • Qualify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities
  • Host client meetings and deliver consultative presentations
  • Expand accounts through upsell and cross-sell strategies
  • Partner with internal teammates to deliver smooth new-client onboarding

What you bring

  • Some prior sales experience (service-industry experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication and genuine relationship-building skills
  • Self-starting, proactive work style and strong follow-through
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic CRM use
  • Valid driver’s license
