Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Start the new year with a rewarding opportunity in elementary education as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This direct hire role, located near Channelview, TX, offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-5 students by supporting their speech and language development.

Location : Onsite near Channelview, TX

Position Type : Full-time, Direct Hire

Caseload : Elementary school students (Kindergarten through 5th grade)

Job Duration : Current School Year (CSY)

Additional Details :

  • Salaried position (negotiable)
  • Candidate contracts are renewable based on fit
  • Therapy provided across one or multiple school sites; mileage reimbursement available
  • Detailed caseload information shared during the interview

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students speech and language needs and determine eligibility for special education services
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide individual and group therapy targeting IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to enhance communication support strategies within the school environment
  • Participate in district initiatives that promote positive school climate, cultural responsiveness, and social justice
  • Train and support school staff on effective speech and language strategies

    • Qualifications :

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid Texas state licensure as an SLP
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Familiarity with current speech-language pathology best practices and research
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and demonstrated cultural competence
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
