Overnight Newsroom Support Producer

Overview

Reporting to the Newsroom Manager the Newsroom Support Producer is the eyes and ears of the K-LOVE Newsroom.

This team member contributes to the news team in multiple ways including News desk duties social media the producing and scheduling of local public affairs programming.

This position works closely with the K-LOVE Public Affairs and Traffic teams.

Heres the experience we are seeking :

• Minimum of 1-2 years related experience in the Broadcast Media.
• Demonstrated successful project management skills ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel database management and scheduling software.
• Proficient with studio software applications including ProTools Soundforge TLC Spot Depot FTP.
• Proficient with all newsroom type broadcast equipment.
• Demonstrate acute attention to detail.
• A collaborative and flexible style with strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business / ministry relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values.

Research and maintain awareness of breaking news stories post stories on websites. Ensure pages are updated and relevant.
