[job_card.job_description]An accredited degree in construction management architecture or engineering (structural mechanical civil or electrical) with a minimum of 10 years of practical field experience Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safetytraining required. Knowledge and experience with construction practices including applicable building codes applicable safety regulations Knowledge of cost estimatingwith breakdown of labor materials and equipment costs for proposed construction contract modifications. Ability to evaluate payment requests Ability to read and interpret plans schedules and other specifications. Written and verbal communication problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Knowledge of software including MS Teams MS Word MS Excel Adobe Acrobat ProjectTeam Primavera MS Project and any other software programs typically utilized Maintain a valid drivers license. Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to walk and climb stairs or ladders on a daily basis to observe and inspect contract performance. Must be familiar with NAF / FAR and DOD regulations to assist in administration of construction contract. Location : Vandenberg Space Force Base CA
Salary Range : $90k-$100k annually based on experience
Project / Position Overview :
The project will consist of providing a new addition to an existing Child Development Center on Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. To accomplish this alterations to the existing CDC building and its site will be necessary and included in the Scope Of Work.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.
- Read interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specifications.
- Arrange coordinate attendand facilitate a variety of meetings including weekly meetings at the project site.
- Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor.
- Review contractors baseline and progress schedules.
- Draft project related correspondence.
- Understand and document inspections during and post construction as well as mock-up inspections.
- Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress workmanship quality and conformance with contract documents applicable building codes and safety standards.
- Deliver reports reviews evaluations and design workto Government Contracting Officer (GCO).
- Review and process Construction Contractors RFIs and assist in resolution draft response tracking and follow up.
- Coordinate on-site staff assignment
- Provide technical review of proposed modifications to the contract and make recommendations to the GCO.
- Maintain records and files of correspondence site conference reports shop drawings RFIs addenda change orders and supplementary drawings issued subsequent to award of the construction contract.
- Coordinate with the construction contractors quality control (inspection) personnel in accordance with NFCInspection of Construction.
