Accounting & Revenue Cycle Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced part-time Accounting & Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the development of our revenue cycle operations from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in healthcare revenue cycle management, accounting, policy creation, and team leadership. As the key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing policies and procedures, overseeing accounting, revenue cycle management, payroll, and eventually training and leading a team as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive accounting and revenue cycle policies and procedures, including billing and claims submission, collections, posting, denial management, and accounts receivable.
- Establish best practices for revenue cycle operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Actively optimize reimbursements.
- Manage bookkeeping and accounts receivable, including invoicing, monitoring outstanding balances, reconciling payments, and pursuing timely collections.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies and issues.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment for all employees.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify operational needs and strategic priorities.
- Prepare and present regular financial statements, reports on revenue cycle performance, accounts receivable aging, KPIs, and payroll metrics.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on revenue cycle management, staying current on industry regulations and trends.
- Train and mentor new revenue cycle staff as the team expands.
- Identify and implement solutions to optimize revenue cycle and accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and payer regulations.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management (consultant role, such as healthcare financial audit experience, is acceptable).Proficient with Quickbooks, Excel, and standard accounting software.Proven experience in developing policies and procedures and training staff.Familiarity with payroll and accounts receivable systems and processes.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and proactively in a startup environment.Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations.Schedule : Part-time (Flexible hours, estimated 5-20 hours / week with growth expected over time)
