This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
. Lead API development efforts using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC protocols, ensuring compliance with modern authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, JWT).
. Integrate legacy systems and modern databases, supporting AI/ML workflows and automated language conversion (e.g., COBOL to Java, Python, C#, TypeScript).
. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for robust deployments.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API specifications, validate data sources, and ensure backward compatibility.
. Drive observability and monitoring using tools like Datadog, New Relic, and Prometheus.
. Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions for microservices and containerized environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Experience: 5–8+ years in full-stack development with leadership or mentoring experience.
. Technical Skills:
. Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue; strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
. Backend: Node.js, Python, Java, Spark.
. API Design: REST, GraphQL; authentication standards (OAuth, JWT).
. Infrastructure: OpenShift, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
. System Design: Expertise in scalable architecture, databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and CI/CD.
. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker/K8s).
. Familiarity with AI-driven development tools and workflows.
. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Postman/Newman).
. Background in performance optimization, security hardening, or hybrid mobile/web apps.
. Exposure to large-scale modernization projects in government or regulated environments.
