Director, Area Construction
Total accountability for the operational and financial performance of the Construction Services business line within an area or sub-region. What You Will Do Primary Responsibilities
- Business development and sales for designated business line.
- Annual, quarterly and bi-weekly operational and financial projections.
- Ensure projects and territories are staffed adequately.
- Train and advise Territory Managers on legal environments, proper staffing levels, project budgets, customers, actual implementation of work and sales activities.
- Ensure Territory Managers have the training and resources necessary to properly review and implement contracts.
- Analysis of weekly reports for the purpose of managing internal and external objectives.
- Operate in synergy with other departments (New Builds, AWN, Tower Maintenance, Property, etc). Insure corporation and monitor progress of all synergistic efforts.
- Track financial performance for designated business line.
- Ensure all aged accounts receivable (A/R) are satisfied in a timely manner.
- Delegate projects to Territory Managers when necessary (this is typically done based upon geographic responsibility).
- Maintain and enforce all SBA safety / quality practices and OSHA guidelines.
- Elevate appropriate data / regional information to General Manager.
- Serve as a role model of corporate culture within field offices.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.
- Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
- Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision and values.
- Lead team members using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.
- Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
What You'll Need Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study; and 5-10 years managerial experience in wireless telecommunications site development or construction industry. Must possess knowledge of budgeting procedures, EBIDTA multipliers and financial statistics.
- Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
- Domestic Travel 50% of the time inclusive of overnight travel.
- Valid Government Issued Driver's License
