Developer

The Kings County District Attorneys Office (KCDA) is one of the largest prosecutors offices in the country and is committed to developing and implementing innovative prosecutorial strategies that will fulfill our vision of keeping Brooklyn safe while at the same time ensuring fairness and justice for all. KCDA has an exciting opportunity to work as a Developer to complement our existing Information Technology team.

Under general supervision with latitude for independent initiative and judgment and decision the prospective candidate will perform the following duties :

• Design develop test and maintain software used in the work of the Kings County District Attorneys office using Microsoft Technologies ( C# SQL).
• Troubleshoot existing software and data structures toward building the next generation of data / software to drive the KCDAs mission.
• Work on multiple web applications built of varying degrees of complexity and priorities. Technologies include C# .NET 4.0 / 4.5 / Core MVC4 Web Services HTML5 CSS JavaScript Microsoft SQL Server Power BI.
• Develop ad-hoc data integration / transformation solutions using SSIS stored procedures and 3rd party tools.
• Assist with the development of IT project plans and provide time / effort estimates for assigned work.
• Curious self-driven and willingness to expand technical skill set

Qualifications :

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or

2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or

3. Education and / or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
