JOB OVERVIEW Job Title : Physician Pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT) Job Type : Locum Tenens (Part-Time) Location : Peoria, IL Service Setting : Hospital / Clinic Coverage Type : Clinical Call Coverage Period : January 5, 2026 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule : OR 07 : 3015 : 00 or 08 : 0017 : 00; Clinic 08 : 3015 : 30 On-Call Shift Schedule : Daily call during shift, extends into evening (ends midnight or 6p) Call Type : In-House Telephone Call Response Time : 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES Starting January 5, 2026 ongoing, part-time coverage PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics : Pediatrics Patient Volume / Census : 1520 patients / day Rounding : Included Case Mix : Tonsillectomy, adenoids, tubes, frenulectomy, abscess drainage, myringoplasty, laryngoscopy FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level : Level I EMR System : Epic Specialty Backup Available : Pediatric ENT team (2 surgeons, 2 PAs) Reason for Coverage : New position / PTO support PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Credentialing Timeline : ~90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses : Active Illinois license (will accept candidates needing to obtain one) Board : BC / BE in Otolaryngology (Pediatric focus preferred) DEA : Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience : Minimum 1 year NOTES Providers perform clinic / OR work while simultaneously covering call. Call responsibilities extend into evening hours.
