Our Alexandria, VA Office is currently seeking an entry level Civil / Structural Engineer or Mechanical Engineer. The Consulting & Design department specializes in the design, inspection, testing and installation of suspended access and fall protection equipment on commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical and structural systems and components.
• Perform inspections on suspended access and fall protection equipment in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, IWCA, and ASME standards.
• Collect field data, perform basic troubleshooting, and support senior engineers in report preparation and testimony.
• Manage and support load testing and equipment installation projects from start to finish.
• Perform engineering calculations for equipment and supporting structural elements steel beams, concrete slabs, columns).
• Generate design drawings, specifications, and certification reports.
• Meet with clients, support proposal generation, and manage subcontractors during installations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, project management, etc.) to support ongoing projects.
• Follow safety guidelines and engineering best practices in both lab and field environments.
