Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Critical Care Float RN with current MI license, med-surg and ICU experience, and required ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Position is a float RN role covering both ICU and med-surg units in a hospital setting

Float RN may be assigned to ICU units such as TCU, CSU, MICU, and NCCU, as well as a variety of med-surg units

Shift is day, 3x12 hours from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30

ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 2-3 : 1

Med-surg nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-6 : 1

Every other weekend is required

Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Full orientation is provided during the first two weeks of the assignment

Holiday time off is limited to one holiday request; cannot request both the holiday and adjacent days

First-time travelers with appropriate experience are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active MI RN license

Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications

Minimum 1 year of RN experience in med-surg and / or ICU settings

Must complete med-surg and critical care / ICU skills checklists

Willingness and ability to float between ICU and med-surg units
