Salary: $80,000-$85,000

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sr. Program Director, theClinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Master Leveltrainee/intern program and peer mentor program. This role will providesupervision and oversite to trainees, interns, and peer mentors providing individualtherapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counseling, andcrisis intervention. In addition, this role may at times manage a small caseload providing individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, clientadvocacy, counseling, crisis intervention, and group therapy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides directclinical work and/or therapeutic services to clients and families as measuredby supervision and/or direct observation.
  • Assists clinicalstaff in the development of treatment/recovery plans, ensuring that such plans addressall facets of a resident's treatment -- mental health, substance abuse,education, and vocational rehabilitation
  • Provides clinicalsupervision to master's level AMFT, APCC and ACSW CA BBS registered interns andtrainees
  • Buildrelationships with school sites that can provide trainees to Phoenix House on ayear round basis
  • Recruit,interview, and onboard new trainees, interns, and peer mentors
  • Coordinate allaspects of peer mentor program, including recruitment of staff, supervision ofstaff, supervision and compliance of services provided, and managing programbudget.
  • Complies withproductivity standards of the Agency and maintains an appropriate caseload toreach the budgeted daily expectation of billable hours.
  • Ensures all staffsubmits timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans,notes to chart) as outlined in policy and measured via productivity reports.
  • Continuallyassesses the needs and symptoms of clients and families (meets medicalnecessity) formulating a psychosocial diagnosis, gathering history, anddetermining the most appropriate method (s) of providing treatment/Evidence-BasedPractice (individual, family, group, case management, outreach, etc.)
  • Continuallyassesses client progress and modifies treatment via completion and submissionof outcome measures.
  • Accuratelydocuments all work with the client and/or family and/or relevant persons asmeasured by QA standards and peer review audit results.
  • Participates inclinical/case supervision by coming prepared to discuss current caseload,documentation, and productivity; accepts constructive feedback and direction;and puts feedback into clinical and/or therapeutic practice with clients.
  • Establishes andmaintains rapport and effective working relationships with clients, families,and community; works effectively within the Agency and community at large.
  • Lead a regular“Family Night” seminar group
  • Advocating and/orensuring accompaniment for clients (court, medical, mediation, medication, andvisitations) with the goal to ensure satisfactory placement of a child in asafe, permanent, and stable home setting.
  • Maintainsknowledge of program standards and policies as developed by Phoenix House, licensingand other governing bodies; develops personal and professional knowledge byattending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices;participating in in-service programs.
  • Maintains overallconfidentiality information regarding clients, families, and operations of theAgency (including media).
  • IncorporatesAgency philosophy and mission in all aspects of job performance.
  • Maintains a professionalrelationship with clients, staff, and other outside stakeholders at all times.
  • Exercises goodjudgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Attends allrequired staff training sessions in accordance with Phoenix House and statelicensing requirements, completes all training on time
  • Attends andparticipates in program and all staff meetings
  • Adheres to andpromotes the Phoenix House Mission, Vision, and Values while acting as a rolemodel for others
  • Other duties asassigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent in this position providesclinical supervision to master level AMFT and/or ACSW.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or relatedfield
  • LMFT, LPCC or LCSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences(BBS) Registration required
  • Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
  • Experience in Substance Abuse or Mental Health preferred
  • Experiencewith state and county Licensing, and other governing bodies preferred
  • Evidenced-Based Trained/Certified in MAP, TF-CBT, SS Preferred
