Qualifications
BSME / MSME
10+ years in mechanical engineering, including 4+ years in leadership or management
Experience leading teams in sheet metal, plastics, and electro-mechanical product development
Strong knowledge of high-volume manufacturing (stamping, casting, injection molding, electro-mechanical assembly)
Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks), PDM systems, and simulation tools (FEA, thermal, fatigue)
Expertise in DFM / DFA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and reliability engineering
Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and supplier partnerships
Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to drive cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
Build, mentor, and lead a team of mechanical engineers across multiple disciplines
Oversee design and development of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets through CAD / FEA and validation methods
Champion DFM / DFA best practices to support scalable, high-volume production
Partner with suppliers and tooling partners to validate designs and optimize processes
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for manufacturing and field issues
Define priorities, allocate resources, and manage engineering budgets to meet schedule and cost goals
Provide technical direction and status updates to executive leadership
