Job Details :

Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed

No on-call responsibilities

Patient ratio of 4 : 1 during all shifts

May be required to float between downtown and northeast campuses based on census and staffing needs

2+ years of emergency room experience required

South Carolina nursing license or compact license must be in hand prior to start

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH

Epic charting system experience required

Scrub color : Royal Blue

Free parking with distributed pass

Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics

Handle approximately 110 visits per day in 23-room emergency department

Manage various conditions including DKA, stroke, URI, kidney stones, and dislocations

Perform procedures including chest tubes, procedural sedation, intubation, and TPA / TNK administration

Work with specialized equipment including ventilators and BiPAP machines

During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This acute care hospital operates as a 75-bed facility providing comprehensive emergency services to the community. The emergency department features 23 rooms and handles a high volume of patients with diverse medical needs. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and maintains modern medical equipment including ventilators and advanced monitoring systems. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries to ensure comprehensive patient care.
