Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - Java & Web Technologies position for our client.

Location : Houston, TX

Duration : 11 months

Duties :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java and web-based applications.

Lead architecture and design discussions for microservices and cloud-based solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and best practices.

Ensure proper implementation of CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.

Provide guidance on code quality, design patterns, and technology standards.

Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on Java, Go, and web technology stacks.

Skills :

5+ years of professional experience with Java 11 / 17 / 21 development.

4+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, and the broader Spring ecosystem.

1-2 years of hands-on experience with Go (Golang) in a production environment.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and OpenAPI / Swagger specifications.

Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Experience :

Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-level Java and web applications.

Hands-on experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architecture.

Exposure to front-end frameworks such as Angular or Node.js is a plus.

Solid understanding of testing methodologies for both Java and Go environments.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
