The Department of Public Service and Administration, Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University Washington D.C. campus invites applications for a part-time non-tenure track Visiting Associate Professor of the Practice. The position is for a period of 4.5 months, with the possibility of renewal. The anticipated start date is January 5, 2026. The successful candidate will teach courses in the professional Homeland Security Certificate program. Courses taught will include credit-granting graduate courses in Domestic Intelligence and Homeland Security and other elective courses. A reasonable amount of department and professional service will also be expected, concentrated on student engagement at the Bush School D.C. Teaching Site.
This position requires a PhD in Political Science, teaching experience in higher education, and an extensive career in domestic and international intelligence, investigative, and crisis management operations, including leadership experience in homeland security and emergency management.
