Process Engineer General

Job Summary :

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Process Engineer General. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do :

Manufacturing Engineer – Die Engineering - Die Process.

• Drive “Voice of Manufacturing” throughout product development lifecycle to ensure robust, feasible, and manufacturable stamped panels.
• Conduct early stamping process feasibility evaluation in an integrated CAD / CAE environment and coordinate between product development and manufacturing teams to lead resolution of manufacturing feasibility concerns.
• Lead the creation of draw die CAD developments and construction release files for new model stampings.
• Update and maintain existing stamping die process information for the inclusion of improvements, service requirements and carry-over modified part releases required for new model usage.
• Develop stamping die processes for new model parts, optimized for cost and quality on a timely basis to achieve company objectives.
• Lead the development of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) for new model stampings.
• Participate in and initiate cost requests for new model costing, evaluation of engineering proposals.
• Perform simulations of stamping processes for comprehensive formability evaluation.
• Optimize stamping processes : Perform draw and line die simulations and remain extensively involved in taking corrective measures to resolve stamping concerns through the refinement of product design and the stamping process until the launch of production to ensure that the manufactured stamping quality is in adherence to Our Client's standards.
