Our work is rooted in compassion, dignity, and service to the community.Position SummaryThis role reports to the Director of Development and includes community outreach, marketing, development, event support for SECOR Cares, a faith-based, nonprofit free-food market working to eliminate suburban poverty in Douglas, Arapahoe and Elbert counties of Colorado. This role is part of the growing Development team at SECOR, and has potential for growth, including full-time.Key ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following : Support the development team, including community outreach, social media, marketing, mailings, and fundraising initiatives.Assist with special events such as annual gala and golf tournament.Work closely with Director of Development and staff.Demonstrate professional conduct, team spirit, always representing SECORs mission and values.Manage website content, mailing lists, SEO development, and tracking analytics to ensure all content is up to date, relevant and available for Board, grant and other necessary reporting.Assist in planning and executing marketing and development campaigns through communication, digital, and public relations strategies.Assist in design marketing materials including website content, social media posts, and other collateral that is creative, polished and on-brand.Regularly update social media posts and respond to followers.Be available to provide SECOR tours, events and community outreach events, such as Chamber of Commerce meetings or networking functions, representing SECOR Cares to the communities we serve. This may occur after normal business hours and / or on weekends.Design printed material and social media to support fundraising and marketing activities.Grant writing / reporting experience is a bonus.BenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO) including paid sick leave under the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces ActRetirement planMinimum QualificationsFully supports the faith-based mission of SECOR Cares.Must possess excellent project management skills, creativity, proficient communication skills, adept at writing in an engaging and compelling way.Has broad knowledge and experience in nonprofit development and marketing.Possesses skills and the proven ability to work with and motivate other team and volunteers.Must be a goal-driven self-starter who responds well to feedback.Highly organized and exhibits follow-through and accountability for all duties and has a strong work ethic.Displays a positive attitude, shows concern and compassion for people, demonstrates a trusted presence, self-confidence, and common sense.Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.2+ years of experience in community outreach, marketing, communications, or related field.Strong familiarity with web platforms, email systems, social media, public relations, and brand identity.Proficient in Bloomerang Donor Management SoftwareMission AlignmentSECOR Cares is a faith-based nonprofit organization.
