The American Heart Association has a great opportunity open for a Program Evaluation Analyst out of our National Center in Dallas Texas. (Home-based work arrangements available)
The Program Evaluation Analyst is responsible for conducting implementation and outcomes evaluation activities performed by the American Heart Associations Data Science and Evaluation team. This Evaluation Analyst will be responsible for the development and implementation of program evaluation activities for American Heart Association programs and initiatives particularly of Quality Improvement (QI) programs aimed at the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
(This is a fixed-term position with funding through 06 / 30 / 2028 with possibility to extend)

Responsibilities
- Designs and implements both short-turn-around and long-term evaluation plans for programs across the portfolio of American Heart Association initiatives.
- Produces final reports and presentations detailing evaluation background critical evaluation questions evaluation methods findings and recommendations.
- Develops and implements surveys (paper and online) interviews and focus groups and ensures quality control of data collection.
- Develops and implements data collection plans (using quantitative and qualitative methods) that secure buy-in from all key stakeholders (including the program implementer) and which optimize information-flow through the program life-cycle (planning implementation and evaluation).
- Produces written reports and presentations detailing evaluation background critical evaluation questions evaluation methods findings and recommendations.
- Conducts literature reviews participates in the production of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications and presentations; presents at scientific conferences and meetings.
- Works as a collaborative member of the Data Science and Evaluation team.

Qualifications
Advanced Degree in Public Health (MPH / MSPH) Public Policy (MPP) or related field OR Bachelors degree or related work experience3 years of relevant work experienceTwo (2) years of the following experience :Designing and implementing both short- and long-term evaluation plans
Creating and implementing data collection instruments for both quantitative (surveys / questionnaires) and qualitative (interview / focus group guides) approachesConducting quantitative and qualitative data analysesProject management and coordination experienceAbility to understand scientific communication (journals briefings reports statistics etc.) and to synthesize scientific / evaluation findings into reports or communications for both lay business and scientific audiencesKnowledge of public community and population healthStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including representatives of priority populationsProficient in Microsoft Office suite of products for project management purposesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment meet deadlines and consistently perform well during times of increased workloadProficient in software used for data collection and statistical analysis (e.g. Qualtrics R Excel) and qualitative analysis (e.g. NVivo Dedoose)Interest in lifelong learning and opportunities for professional development and growthPreferred Qualifications
