Job Description
JOB SUMMARY : Under the supervision of the designated Section Manager performs clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and instrument calibration and maintenance.
The position reports to the appropriate Section Manager. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I also maintain cooperative working relationships with intradepartmental and interdepartmental personnel.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Overnight, 11 : 00pm-7 : 00am, Weekend / Holidays, On call required

f. Assumes the role of Section Manager in the routine daily activities of the section
as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to : Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
