Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist (Up to $45,000 Sign on Bonus)

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY : Under the supervision of the designated Section Manager performs clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and instrument calibration and maintenance.

The position reports to the appropriate Section Manager. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I also maintain cooperative working relationships with intradepartmental and interdepartmental personnel.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

Overnight, 11 : 00pm-7 : 00am, Weekend / Holidays, On call required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Performs routine and special laboratory tests within the different laboratory departments.
• Recognizes test inconsistencies and takes appropriate corrective action. Aids

laboratory co-workers in resolution of similar problems. Seeks help from the

section manager or pathologist.

as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to : Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience. Bonus is only applicable to new hires. Please inquire for details.
