Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $36.06 per hour.

Job Responsibilities :

Conduct tax research and analysis on varied topics under partner or manager direction.

Prepare tax returns for S Corporations (-S), C Corporations , Partnerships , and Individuals .

Develop tax planning strategies and projections for business and individual clients.

Provide accounting and bookkeeping support, including reconciliations, allocations, and adjustments.

Participate in special projects and assist with client deliverables as needed.

Requirements :

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.

Utilize ERP systems and tax software effectively for compliance and reporting.

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams.

Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Qualifications :

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or EA designation preferred (CPA-eligible acceptable).

3+ years of tax experience, including hands-on tax return preparation for multiple entity types.

Possess a strong technical foundation in tax law and compliance.

Show advanced knowledge of tax planning and strategy for businesses and individuals.

Maintain professionalism and accuracy while working under pressure during tax season.
