Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where you will take ownership of designing and developing key components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. We're looking for a talented developer who excels in coding and possesses a broad understanding of distributed systems. You'll have the opportunity to work deeply within various levels of the stack, design complex system interactions, and contribute to projects that prioritize simplicity and scalability. Your collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn will be essential. After a comprehensive onboarding process, you'll be expected to lead and mentor other software developers.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in Java, C, C++, C#, or similar object-oriented languages, along with Python.

• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.

• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.

• Experience developing REST APIs and working with service-oriented architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience building services on a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).

• Demonstrated experience in delivering and managing large-scale, highly available distributed systems.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.

• Experience with multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a significant advantage.

• Solid understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies is desirable.

• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures is a plus.

US Compensation Range: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
