Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist Special Lab Services

In Special Lab Service at Main Campus Children's of Alabama

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Evening shift, Mon - Fri, Rotating Weekends.

Summary:
Responsible for the collection and accessioning of patient specimens. Performance of clerical work in support of laboratory activities. Performs EKGs, Rhythm strips, and rapid strep procedures. Assistance in the performance of technical tasks as assigned.

Basic knowledge of laboratory tests
Basic medical terminology

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:

Nonessential:
* Certified Phlebotomy Technician or Certified Phlebotomy Technician

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Laboratory Services
