We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic cardiovascular team in Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in our state-of-the-art cath lab. Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac status throughout the procedure, responding quickly to any changes or emergencies.
- Assist the cardiologists and interventional specialists with the preparation and performance of procedures.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and support, providing pre-procedure education and post-procedure care instructions.
- Administer medications, including sedation and analgesia, as ordered, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Maintain sterile technique during all procedures and ensure proper handling of equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, radiologists, and other nursing staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient information and procedural details accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions about the procedure.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, including infection control and radiation safety protocols.
Qualifications :
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an interventional cardiac catheterization lab or critical care setting.BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.Cardiac Cath Lab or related cardiovascular certification preferred.Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, interventional procedures, and hemodynamic monitoring.Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Compassionate, patient-focused, and dedicated to delivering exceptional care.Benefits :
