Job Summary
The Project Manager oversees full life-cycle management for multiple projects, including planning, materials validation and purchasing, installation oversight, budget tracking, reporting, and project close-out. This role manages both OSP and ISP installations, ensures adherence to standard operating procedures, and provides onsite leadership to support daily workflow. The Project Manager serves as a front-facing representative during client meetings, leads cross-functional project teams, and ensures timely, high-quality deliverables. The position may also function as part of a broader project management team for large or complex programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of assigned projects from presales through post-installation.
- Oversee daily onsite activities to ensure workflow efficiency and task completion.
- Validate materials, review and apply SOPs, and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Monitor project progress to ensure milestones, timelines, and budget targets are met.
- Identify and manage risks, initiating proactive and corrective actions as needed.
- Manage change control processes and procure approved change orders.
- Lead and coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain quality and schedule.
- Serve as primary client-facing representative for meetings and ongoing communication.
- Ensure consistent and timely reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain data accuracy across all project management systems.
- Align project documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, proposals, and budget records.
- Review project and field budget trackers, project metrics, invoicing, pending awards, and accounts receivable on a weekly basis.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing or new clients.
Job Requirements
5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in telecom, low-voltage, or network infrastructure.College degree or associate degree preferred.PMI / PMP certification or equivalent preferred.Strong understanding of project management methodologies.Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Knowledge of voice, data, fiber, wireless, and network installation practices.RCDD certification preferred but not required.Ability to stand and walk job sites as needed.Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.Highly organized with strong time-management and task-prioritization skills.Able to work independently, receive feedback constructively, and adapt as needed.Dependable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.Education
