Description : Position Summary

GCDL is a dental laboratory located in Prospect Heights, IL with over 20 years of

experience servicing dentists across the country. The Crown & Bridge

Manager is a skilled crown and bridge dental technician, first and foremost. This

individual should be a proven leader with several years of hands-on experience in the

dental industry. They should be comfortable leading a team of 20+ employees in their

day-to-day activities. Frequent interaction with our dental partners and internal

employees is critical for success in this role.

Required Technical Skills and Competencies

Technical (60%)

• Minimum 5 years experience working with crown and bridge and implant cases
• Solid understanding of crown and bridge materials and the process to fabricate
• (PMMA, PFM, PFZ, Zirconia, Hybrid Ceramics, Composites)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve incoming cases through a thorough understanding of dental anatomy and occlusion
• Basic knowledge of milling CAM hardware and software, 3D printing and nesting and design software (3Shape / Exocad)
• Familiarity with Removable Department and case management software systems
• (Magic touch software preferable)

Leadership (20%)

Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment

Distribute and balance workflows amongst existing team members

Hire, train and mentor members to enhance functioning of the department

Develop and monitor a system of KPI’s to monitor department effectiveness

Communication (20%)

Frequent interaction with dental offices and dentists to diagnose and resolve fixed prosthetics issues

Regular communication with internal employees to monitor case workloads

Interact with internal departments to resolve cross-department issues

Requirements : Responsibilities

1) Supervise the crown and bridge digital design team, the ceramic team, the model

room and ancillary crown and bridge staff members

2) Distribute work to team members and maximize workflow to calibrate to our

departmental capacity

3) Train and educate team members to grow our collective employee knowledge

4) Problem solve difficult cases and employee challenges

5) Assist customers with technical questions and challenges regarding crown and

bridge cases

6) Collaborate with Removable department for hybrid combo cases.

7) Quality control all cases leaving the crown and bridge department

8) Assist with crown and bridge production when needed

9) Edit cases in our case management system for billing and communication purposes
