Accounting Quoting Specialist San Diego, CA

CompuOne Corporation is a full-service managed IT services provider headquartered in San Diego seeking an Accounting / Quoting Specialist to join our team. The team member will be responsible for generating quotes and proposals, processing orders with partnered vendors, and communicating order status with clients. Quote conversion and product purchasing are key roles associated with this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors / suppliers.
• Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Review and analyze all vendors / suppliers, supply, and price options.
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
• Work with team members and the procurement department to complete duties as needed.
• Create client invoices.
• Handle accounts receivable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Accurate and precise attention to detail a must.
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
• Must be proficient in Excel.
• Must have accounting experience.
• Must have Quickbooks (or similar) experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A team player with a high level of dedication and spirit of cooperation.
• Ability to negotiate, influence and persuade.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Basic understanding of IT and technical concepts a plus.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in quoting, purchasing, or related position preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
