Military Support Specialist
You will serve as a MILITARY SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD DET MIDDLE PACIFIC. Responsibilities include providing technical and advisory assistance to civilian and military management officials and employees. You will be responsible for validation and approval of all purchase requests ensuring methods of procurement and required documentation are followed. You will serve as the command subject matter expert for all military personnel and pay systems. You will act as the principal administrative advisor, program coordinator, and point of contact with higher authority commands.
Qualifications : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : 1) Communicating effectively orally and in writing sufficiently to provide briefs to all levels of the chain of command; 2) Applying knowledge of Navy functions, tasks, policies, and regulations pertaining to contract support; 3) Preparing and executing command annual budget for office equipment, supplies, etc.; 4) Utilizing Microsoft programs and pay systems to support any required service record maintenance to all levels of command.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience : Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
