Job Title : Inside Sales Representative

Location : Yonkers, New York

Pay Range : $45,000-$55,000 Yearly

Description

Responsibilities

  • Provides the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail and walk-in contractor, commercial, and industrial customers
  • Answers telephone inquiries pleasantly and promptly
  • Provides customers with information on additional items related to purchases made
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the products sold, product usage, product prices, and new products on the market
  • Handles minor complaints with the objective of solving the problem
  • Listens to a customer s complaint to find out what it will take to satisfy the customer
  • Complies with Company s procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
  • Maintains stock, displays, and housekeeping for assigned areas
  • Assists supervisor and other employees as needed

    • Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

    • Experience

  • 3 years experience in retail or contractor building material sales preferred

    • Skills

  • Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions, and complete forms
  • Ability to communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors using verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone etiquette

    • Education

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

    • Experience

  • Sales : 3 years (Preferred)
  • Building Supply Sales : 2 years (Preferred)
