Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles. Experience with construction accounting software (Sage 300, Viewpoint, etc.) a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. A large construction company is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their rapidly expanding team. This is a big firm yet very family-oriented with both a fun and professional culture. We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Process Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R).
- Support job cost tracking and project accounting activities.
- Assist with payroll entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Support audits and provide documentation as needed.
