Overview : As a Residential Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing supervision and ensuring the safety of residents at Turning Leaf Residential Rehabilitation Services, Inc. You will help maintain high living standards related to cleanliness, nutrition, and general health for individuals receiving mental health care. Your professional caregiver relationships with residents will be essential as you model and encourage positive social interactions.
Qualifications : A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. While 2+ years of experience in human services or direct care is preferred, it is not mandatory. Preferred qualifications include certification as a CENA, MA, PCT, or an advanced degree. Experience with medication passing is also preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be dependable, eager to learn and grow, and possess the creativity necessary to solve problems effectively.
Contingencies : All new hires must successfully complete the Michigan Longterm Care Workforce Background Check. Candidates must provide valid Michigan driver’s license or State ID, proof of education, and a TB test prior to employment. Additionally, all new hires are required to complete a healthcare screening within 30 days of hire, which includes the capability to lift up to 50lbs.
