Sales Representative

Brian Downes - State Farm Agency, located in Flushing, NY, is seeking a qualified professional to join their winning team for the role of Sales Representative – State Farm Agent Team Member (sales experience preferred). Insurance experience is not required as we will train the right person with the right skill set. Must be able to obtain a Property and Casualty license and Life and Health license.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
• Work with the office management to achieve both team and individual goals.
• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.

Requirements

• Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
  
• Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
• Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams
• Self-motivated
• Detail oriented
• Ability to make product presentations over the phone and in person to potential customers
• Knowledge of Personal Lines Insurance products
• License/Certification:
• Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain)
• Life and Health license (must be able to obtain)
