DENTAL HYGIENIST

DEPARTMENT : Health Department - Healthy Beginnings

HIRING RANGE : $37.16-$41.26 / hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

JOB SUMMARY :

Responsible for assisting parents and children in attaining / maintaining optimum dental health, including providing dental education, assessing changes in dental health status, providing prophylaxis, and completing referrals for necessary dental procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Associate degree and completion of accredited Dental Hygiene school required
• 1-3 years of working experience as a dental hygienist preferred
• BILINGUAL SKILLS (ENGLISH / SPANISH) ARE STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Ability to properly operate computer and standard dental equipment
• Working knowledge of standard dental practices and procedures, statutes pertaining to dental practices / hygiene
• Work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment
• Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
• Pre-employment background check and TB test
