Position Overview

We are seeking a Field Inspector I – Mechanical to perform site inspections and verify mechanical installations in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes.

The position supports the QC Engineer and works closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure safe and compliant execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of HVAC, hydronic, and mechanical piping systems , including ductwork, pumps, chillers, boilers, AHUs / FCUs, and exhaust systems.
• Verify installation work against IFC drawings, approved submittals, and method statements under supervision of a senior inspector or QC Engineer.
• Confirm compliance with IMC, IBC, ASME B31.1 / B31.3, SMACNA, ASHRAE , and relevant local codes.
• Assist in preparing inspection checklists, punch lists, and daily reports ; maintain accurate photographic documentation.
• Support witnessing of mechanical tests, such as pressure testing, flushing, or equipment start-up , and record results.
• Identify and report non-conformances for review; assist in follow-up and closure of NCRs / CARs .
• Coordinate with Construction, QA / QC, Safety, and Project Management teams to resolve site issues promptly.
• Participate in toolbox talks and ensure safe work practices during inspections.
