Job Description

The Testing Engineer will design, develop and implement test hardware and software for productiontesting of new products. Evaluate deadlines, goals and develop projectschedules.

• Design, develops, and implement solutions to improve test yields, reduce over all Test time, provide for test capacity increases, minimize downtime, and optimize test / process flows. This includes implementing new processes and technologies, utilizing statistical tools, and developing innovations to existing problems and issues.
• Analyzes and critiques equipment designs / processes relative to market
• requirements, manufacturability, costs and technical requirements.
• Identifies technical and quality problems, determines alternatives and evaluates them to arrive at the most acceptable approach including conformity to specifications, reliability, cost effectiveness, testability and reparability.
• Identifies need for, assesses and / or develops technical / process specification standards and participates in establishing the procedures to ensure they are followed.
• Prepares and presents technical reports to influence the decision making process.
• Provide technical information and participates as a speaker in technical programs.

Preferred Qualifications :

Ability to code programming languages

Experience working in a Hardware, or Software environment preferred.

Strong RF knowledge

Strong knowledge of test systems Hardware and Software architecture preferred.

Familiarity with UNIX, C & C++

Ability to work with minimum supervision preferred.

Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area to be considered for this

opportunity!

Target Base Salary Range : $65,900 - $100,000

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering

2 plus years of experience as a Software Engineer, or Hardware Testing Engineer required.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
