Job Description
The Team Leader is responsible for project planning, scheduling, and maintaining client relationships. They are also responsible for overseeing staff charged with the design, development, delivery, and management of site development projects, primarily Healthcare, Civic, and Commercial developments. The Team Leader position provides an excellent opportunity for personal & professional growth, participation in our leadership training program, as well as the opportunity to have a strong leadership role in the growth and development of the team.
Requirements
At a minimum, the Team Leader must meet the following educational and professional requirements :
Education / Registration
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Current registration as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in the State of Texas
Professional
Responsive and results oriented in service to clients.Design proficiency with grading, roadway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer improvements is required, particularly within the context of site developments.Proficiency in the entitlement process for the development of a site. This includes, but not limited to, planning, zoning, platting, etc.Five (5) years minimum design experience in site developmentFive (5) years minimum experience as a Project Manager and / or Team LeaderFifteen (15) years minimum combined experienceFive (5) years minimum experience in North Texas market working with local governmental entities, including municipalities, school districts, counties and municipal utility districts.Proficiency with Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel requiredCommitted to professional developmentDemonstrated leadership and ability to effectively acquire, train & mentor a qualified & productive teamDemonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team membersDemonstrated ability to schedule work to meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to manage & meet client expectationsResponsibilities
Establish and communicate team goalsCommunicate SOPs, guidelines and processes, and ensure that they are understood and followedEstablish goals for your direct reportsMonitor progress, performance and overall execution of your direct reports on an ongoing basisApprove time / effort of your direct reportsHire, fire, train & develop your direct reportsSchedule regular mentoring sessions with the Production Team members under your direct reports’ supervisionMarket and sell services on behalf of TNP, including responding to new OPPS, prospects, RFPs, etcApprove all scopes, fees, schedules and contract agreements for your teamEngage clients through relationship-building and / or marketing activities on regular intervalsPrepare your own individual action plan for professional developmentMaintain strong overall financial performanceLeads Outside Sales and Marketing Strategy for the teamPrimary Client Relationship Manager for the teamCompensation
Compensation includes :
