Job Summary

Provide piano accompaniment for students in the Music program with the Department of Fine & Performing Arts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Rehearse with assigned students in preparation for junior and senior recitals. (to a maximum of 15 hours per student per semester)

Maintain a rehearsal schedule with students in the department that is reasonable for all parties concerned.

Maintain accurate records of contact hours with students.

Other rehearsals and performance duties as assigned and approved by the Chair of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts, dependent on availability.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Piano or closely related area — $30 per hour
• Master’s degree in Piano or closely related area — $40 per hour
• Doctoral degree in Piano or closely related area — $50 per hour

Experience – Minimum of two years of related experience.

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to interact effectively, professionally, and tactfully with students, faculty, and other university personnel.

Ability to motivate students.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Other Requirements

Total work hours will not exceed 19 hours per week.

Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required.

Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.

Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

Pay of Rate will be determined based on educational qualifications.
