What we expect
TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Elevator Technology Lead in Atlanta, GA.
This role will provide expert judgment and consultation in one or more areas in design, develop, testing, implement, and analyze electrical components of the elevator systems including but not limited to control systems. The position demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Focuses on highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research to assist in development of electrical hardware requirements and hardware development which includes verification and validation activities of the product development life cycle.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Designs electrical components and elevator systems.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of latitude.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.
- Understands and uses the A17.1 elevator code as a basis for all designs.
- Reads requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used.
- Generates designs per the outlined requirements and specifications.
- Evaluates and produces designs for the manufacturing of hydraulic and traction elevators.
- Adheres to all safety procedures and company safety standards while working in the lab and test tower.
- Adheres to the corporate compliance policy and ensures that behavior in the workplace is that of a responsible professional.
- Viewed as a technical leader and resource that leads and directs the work of others.
- Provides consultation on complex issues.
- Contributes to a team environment.
- Mentor and train Engineers I, II & III.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- 10-20+ years of Elevator Knowledge and troubleshooting
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of related experience preferred.
- Comprehension of general electrical engineering concepts required.
- Demonstrated working experience leading and directing project teams required.
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
- Possess a strong understanding of elevator systems and codes required.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and directing the work of others.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience of working in a team environment.
- Possess strong decision-making abilities.
- Possess effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience in using computer-assisted design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Blue Beam/Adobe Writer.
- Demonstrated experience with hands on technical wiring and assembly of mechanical equipment a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools and general knowledge of test equipment.
- Possess the ability to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPSM, CSCP, or C.P.M certification, highly preferred
- LEED Green Associate or TRUE Advisor certification is a plus.
- Previous work experience in Automotive, Elevator Technology, or Consumer products manufacturing industries
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint), SAP Ariba, Oracle
