GTC is a Federal Contractor :

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be 18 or older
• Must be able to pass a multi-panel drug screening
• Cannot have a felony / criminal background

Pay rate is based on skill / experience 1st Shift :

5 : 30am - 4pm - Monday through Friday (5 / 10s)

FUNCTION :

Performs electrical mechanical assembly work with varying degrees of complexity. Assembly procedures may involve cable installation, junction box wire termination, trimming and fitting parts to moderately close tolerances, working with parts or components using various types of power sources which are difficult to handle and other skills which require good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools.

Duties are constantly performed in a safe manner to ensure compliance with safety specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Analyzes electrical assembly blueprints and schematics.

Verifies conformance of parts to stock list, blueprints, and schematics using measuring instruments such as multimeters and calibrators.

Lays out hole locations; drill and tap holes on parts for assembly.

Runs cables and wire bundles according to blueprints using standard shop practices.

Terminates varying sizes of junction boxes using schematics and electrical tools such as wire strippers and crimpers.

Tests the operation of electrical components using electrical measuring tools.

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION :

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitudes.

Must be a US citizen.

An understanding of basic AC and DC circuits.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE / SKILL :

Minimum one-year related experience and / or training in applications of entry level electrical aptitude.

Experience in heavy electrical assembly function.

Experience in several electrical measuring tools such as multi-meters and calibrators.

Skills in troubleshooting of DC and AC electrical circuits.
