Laser Machine Operator

PrideStaff is seeing a skilled and experienced Machine Operator for an Laser Machine Operator position for a leading manufacturing facility in Matthews, NC. The primary purpose of this role is to operate and maintain our laser cutting machinery to cut various materials with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Location : Matthews, NC 28105

Pay : $24 / hr.

Schedule : Monday through Friday 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM

Duties / Responsibilities :

Set up and operate the laser cutting machine, including making necessary adjustments to laser speed and intensity to achieve desired results.

Monitor the laser machine during operation, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues when able, and perform routine maintenance to ensure maximum performance and productivity.

Operate laser cutting, engraving, and marking machines to create products from various materials.

Inspect and monitor the quality of all parts produced, ensuring components meet required specifications and are completed to a high degree of accuracy.

Perform grinding and final finish work on components as needed.

Maintain accurate records of production, machine operations, and inventory used.

Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned. Required Skills / Abilities :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Machine Operator with specific experience operating a CNC Machine or Plasma Table . Experience with a Laser Machine is a plus, but not required.

Demonstrated experience with grinding and finishing metal components.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints .

Excellent eye for detail and the ability to accurately check and measure the dimensions of components using tools like a tape measure.

Ability to troubleshoot simple mechanical adjustments and resolve minor technical issues.

Strong professional communication skills and the potential for future leadership .

Able to work accurately and efficiently to meet production deadlines. Education and Experience :

Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, previous experience, or on-the-job training a plus.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements :

Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Must have adequate balance and ability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $24.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
