We have an immediate opening for an experienced Social Media Manager with proven leadership skills in managing teams.

We are building the strongest local media brands in Alabama, including; Bham Now, Hville Blast, and The Bama Buzz. Our social media platforms are a key part of our growth strategy. We publish content that celebrates the positive momentum of Birmingham and Alabama, including earned media and sponsored media. Responsibilities :

• Lead social media strategy based on in-house data and industry research.
• Create and implement action plans to grow followers and increase engagement.
• Lead, coach, and oversee a team of social media producers.
• Provide timely, effective feedback to team members to enhance their skills.
• Oversee client experiences to ensure high-performing social campaigns and creative ideas that resonate with audiences.
• Assign and create social media content, including earned and sponsored video shorts, photo galleries, microblogs, and more.
• Review, edit, and coach team members on ideation and quality execution.
• Have experience with best practices for posting, engagement, analytics, and listening.
• Approve and implement the social editorial calendar, with flexibility for breaking news.
