Freight Broker Agent

Qualifications & Requirements

Must have an existing book of business

Prior experience as a freight agent or freight broker

Strong understanding of freight brokerage operations

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations

Reliable phone, internet, and workspace

Authorized to work in the United States

Bring and manage an existing book of business (shipper customers)

Quote freight and negotiate rates with customers

Book and manage loads from pickup to delivery

Coordinate with carriers and internal operations as needed

Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of all shipments

Maintain strong relationships with customers to drive repeat business

Communicate load details, documentation, and updates clearly

Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, and brokerage regulations
